Recycled robot competition

Recycled robot competition

To celebrate Science Week, Hilliard needs you.

We are seeking family created recycled robots. Don’t worry we don’t expect them to move on their own. This is a family project so get your creative thinking caps on, let your imaginations flow and cast your eyes over your recycling bins.

Competition rules:

  1. Each robot to be made from recycled, reused, repurposed or broken materials.

  2. The robot must be made of things that you already have. Please do not go out and purchase anything (this project should not cost you a single cent).

  3. One entry per family. Robots to be made at home and brought to the hall before school on Monday 20th August.

  4. All robots need to have a name. Please include name and grade level of your child/ren.

There are 4 categories:

 1. Most creative
 2. Best use of recycled materials
 3. Best construction
 4. Most Popular (Student vote)

Some items to consider: boxes, cans, old computer parts, springs, lids, plastic bottles, shoe boxes, milk bottles, wire, vacuum leads, buttons, wool, string.
