End of Term 2 2014 Prize

A proactive feature of our new Responsible Behaviour Plan for Students is the recognition of positive student attitudes and behaviours. Our staff are always looking to acknowledge Hilliard students for practising the You Can Do It traits of being Organised, showing Resilience, demonstrating Confidence, displaying Persistence or Getting Along. At Assembly on Tuesday, our Chaplain, Mrs Keen, advised that - Butler House had won the Term Two prize. Final results for Term Two were: Aston - 69%, Butler - 70.5%, Carlson - 56.5% and Rogers 60%.

Butler House Captains and Vice Captains: Gemma S, Patrick M, Yasmine B and Teagan L have negotiated their prize with the Principal and we are pleased to advise that they have elected to have a scientific focus for their prize. Specifically, we have invited a representative from Queensland Rocketry Society to visit Hilliard State School on the afternoon of Thursday, 26 June. On this occasion Butler House will be able to watch and participate in the launching of: air-powered, water -powered and a B sized motor-powered rocket from the school oval. Butler students will also go home with a bag of lollies.

Well done Butler!
